We’ve been selling cheese at our Bleecker Street flagship store since 1940, and in 2012 the team behind Murray’s Cheese decided we needed a place to host our friends and neighbors for cheesy brunches, dinners and spirited celebrations. Murray’s Cheese Bar was born, and so was a world of fine cheeses made locally and abroad, selected and arranged by expert mongers or cooked into divine dishes by our seasoned chefs.
We love cheese, but our menu also features seasonal specials, high-quality meat and produce and fantastic happy hour specials during the week. Join us for dinner seven nights a week or weekend brunch next time you’re passing through Greenwich Village and see why we’re so in love with what we serve.
Meet the Maker
At Murray’s Cheese Bar, we believe that the delicious bites on our menu only tell part of the story. Not only are we interested in the cheese, but we’re interested in the people behind the cheese, the cheese makers, and learning about their journey. That’s why we proudly hold regular Meet the Maker events, where we host cheese and beverage makers in an intimate setting to give them an opportunity to share their stories and knowledge with our guests.
